# The competition is open to all professional and amateur photographers who are residents of one of the EU Member States, the candidate countries or the EFTA/EEA countries, regardless of their sex, age or nationality (with the exception of civil servants of the European Institutions – including agencies – and their families).

# Each participant may submit a maximum of three coherent images related to the main theme of “sustainable and responsible tourism”.

# Photos must be submitted digitally, uploaded via the online entry form in two formats:

* A preview of the photos (255x369 pixel / 9x13cm) uploaded on the online entry form in all common photo formats.
* The high resolution master copies (at least 5 mega pixels / 2480x3508 pixel or up to 7016x9933 pixel / 59.4x84.1cm in 300dpi – please do not extrapolate!) uploaded on the online entry form in all common photo formats.

# Contributions must have a title and can include a short explanation consisting of a maximum of 150 characters.

# The official award ceremony and the exhibition of the 25 best photos of the competition will be held hosted in the premises of the European Parliament in Brussels in December 2009.
